In Your Dreams, Asswipe
Boehner pops another one:

B) The assumption that the American People that do give a shit would side with the Republicans against that bill is shaky at best.
But if the Republicans want to make this their Defining Issue for 2010, i recommend that they proceed with the greatest dispatch and enthusiasm. Rotsa Ruck.
Climate Bill Is Expected to Reverberate in 2010 Vote - WSJ.com
In a memo circulated to House Republicans, Minority Leader John Boehner (R., Ohio) said the pending climate vote would have significant electoral consequences.A) The American People(TM) don't give that much of a shit about the climate, far less the climate bill. It is American Industry(FU) that (misguidedly, shortsightedly) doesn't like this bill.
"Democrats who vote for it do so at their own peril," Mr. Boehner wrote. "The American people will remember this debate and will remember who stands up for them."

Peas in a Pod
There's no right/left balance in the two recent, high-profile shootings (Suspect charged with murder in Tiller's shooting, Man pleads not guilty in deadly recruiting center shootings) which have been conflated by many bloggers. One does not "cancel out" the other; both attacks are the same. They're both terrorist attacks based on right-wing religious fundamentalism. The fundamentalist was Christian in the Tiller murder, and Muslim in the Army Recruiting Station attack.
Both. The. Same.
Religion kills.
