"The hecklers accused the president of breaking his word. 'No I'm not lying to the American people,' Clinton declared. 'Do we have 10 million more jobs than we did under the previous president or not? Yes.'
When his detractors wouldn't quit, the president quipped, 'You know, we believe in the First Amendment here. I'll be glad to answer your questions, but they came here to hear me.' "
It would be great to see how Bush would 'perform' in front of a hostile audience, but they never let him get within a First Amendment Zone's length of one.
