Bush's reason for completely terminating transparency in government?
"If people give me advice and they're forced to disclose that advice, it means the next time an issue comes up, I might not be able to get unvarnished advice from my advisers, and that's just the way it works," he said.
Well, that's sure a good enough reason. If Jack Abramoff was forced to divulge the advice he gave Bush, then felons everwhere might feel pressured to not be completley straightforward with Bush.
