I have witnessed this sort of behavior from the NYPD myself. No surprise.
The funny part:
Heller's father is Kelly's first cousin - a point Heller said he tried to make to the cops who allegedly knocked him down and pummeled him, he said in a complaint filed with the Civilian Complaint Review Board.
So, the cops are beating on him, and he's shouting something like, "Hey, you can't do this to me, I'm the comissioner's cousin!". Hey, like, maybe they shouldn't beat on anybody.
